Vintage Cards!!!

Hurray! I'm so happy girls! I bought some vintage children's greeting cards with my Christmas money! I've been pining for some ever since I saw them on Priscila and Lindsey's blogs and in some blog headers, too. From what little research I've done, I especially love the cards from the mid 40s- to the early 60s. I love the vivid colors and the roundness of the faces. Can you tell that some of these have "velvet"? That's what really makes them pop! I bought all my cards from Etsy shops. This Christmas batch includes a fold out card- the Elephant below. (Um.... Ooops...this next card isn't mine! ~ Blush ~ It belongs to Linda but it wasn't a good morning for working with pictures so please admire its cuteness but know it's not really supposed to be here! ;>)

Okay, so now here's the fold out card! Cute, Huh? ;> Look at the Kittie's tummy!!!! OH, my! Eeek, eek, eek!

And for my favorite cards of all! Kitty cards!!! These can be in pastels.

I didn't even know that the kitties in the box was a pop up card! Look below!

I actually squeaked or was it an squeal? when I opened it!

Can you tell it's a pop up? My photos wouldn't open for editing so this is the best I could do for lighting.
One of these days, I want my own custom banner made with cards like these. My MOST favorite cards that I've seen are of little girls with kitties but I don't have any of those yet.
Now I'm looking at valentines on Etsy! Those are really cute too but again- it's only a certain era that I *really* like. Anything earlier than the 40s or older than mid 60s and they don't really "do" anything for me. So now, being the analyzer that I am, I have to figure out WHY some things "do" me and others don't!!! :>
Thank you, Lord for a wonderful life!
And thank you, Lord for my wonderful girls!
Have a great day, girlfriends!
